Have you ever experienced lateral hip pain, knee pain, foot/ankle pain, or plantar fasciitis while walking, running, or cycling? Many musculoskeletal injuries can be traced back to weakness specifically in the gluteus medius muscle. A systematic review in 2016 by Ebert et al reviewed the most beneficial exercises to progressively strengthen the gluteus medius muscles. In the next few weeks we will be posting a series of pictures and videos of some of our favorite exercises for this important muscle group.
